Mines Calculator
Enter the mine count, safe picks, bet size and RTP to compare survival probability with the cash-out multiplier, payout and net profit for a 25-tile board.
Calculate one 25-tile Mines setup
Choose a mine count and cash-out depth, then compare the probability of reaching that target with its fair price, RTP-adjusted multiplier and conditional payout.
Fair multiplier = 1 / P
Estimated multiplier = Fair × RTP
Set bet size, mines, safe picks and RTP to compare probability, multiplier, payout, profit and expected value.
With 3 mines and 5 safe picks, the survival chance is 49.57%. At a nominal 99% RTP, the cash-out multiplier is 1.9974x; a 10.00-unit bet would return 19.97 if you cash out after 5 safe picks. Effective RTP at this cash-out point is 99.00%, with EV of -0.0100 per unit.
Calculated values are mathematical estimates. Real casino values may differ because of rounding, RTP settings, max-win caps, bonus rules or platform-specific payout tables.

Worked 99% RTP examples
Each example uses a 10-unit bet. The payout is conditional on reaching the stated safe-pick target and cashing out there.
1 mine, 3 safe picks
Survival chance is 88.00%. The 99% RTP multiplier is 1.1250x, so a successful cash-out would return 11.25 units and 1.25 units of net profit.
3 mines, 5 safe picks
Survival chance is 49.57%. The 99% RTP multiplier is 1.9974x, so a successful cash-out would return 19.97 units and 9.97 units of net profit.
10 mines, 3 safe picks
Survival chance is 19.78% and bust risk is 80.22%. The 99% RTP multiplier is 5.0044x, producing a conditional payout of 50.04 units.
How the tool works
Choose the mine count
The number of mines controls the risk curve. More mines usually mean faster multiplier growth and a lower chance of reaching deeper cashout points.
Select safe picks
Safe picks represent how many safe tiles you want to reveal before cashing out. Each additional pick compounds the chance of failing before the target.
Compare risk and payout
The result panel keeps the probability split, estimated return, profit figure and long-term RTP effect visible in the same place.
What this tool can and cannot do
It can calculate game math
The tool measures the chance of reaching a selected cashout point, converts that chance into a zero-edge price and then applies the chosen RTP setting for an estimated game-style value.
That helps compare risk before a round, especially when the displayed payout looks attractive but the chance of reaching it is low.
It cannot predict mine positions
No public calculator can identify future safe tiles in a properly random or provably fair Mines game. Previous boards, visual patterns and recent outcomes do not create a reliable map for the next round.
If a service claims to reveal safe tiles or bypass the game seed, treat that claim as unverified unless it can be independently reproduced and audited.

These pages expand the same calculation model into chart, payout, odds, RTP, strategy and verification topics.
How to read the result panel
Each output answers a different question. Read the probability, price and money figures together rather than treating a large multiplier as a signal by itself.
Survival chance and bust risk
Survival chance is the probability of reaching the selected safe-pick target from a fresh board. Bust risk is the probability of revealing a mine before that target.
Fair and RTP-adjusted multiplier
The fair multiplier is the zero-edge price of the target. The adjusted multiplier applies the selected RTP and can be lower again if a platform rounds values.
Payout at cash-out and net profit
Payout is the amount returned only if the target is reached and you cash out there. Net profit subtracts the original bet from that conditional payout.
Effective RTP and EV
Effective RTP shows the return implied by the displayed multiplier at that cash-out point. EV per unit shows the corresponding long-term expected gain or loss.
Version-specific calculator presets
These pages use the same probability engine but apply version-specific RTP, mine-range or rounding assumptions. Check each page’s evidence and compare the result with the current live table.

FAQ
What is a Mines calculator?
It is a probability tool for checking a selected Mines setup before playing. It estimates survival odds, bust risk, fair multiplier, payout and profit. It does not choose tiles or predict future results.
Does bet size change the odds?
No. Bet size changes the conditional payout and net profit, but it does not change survival probability, bust risk or the fair multiplier for the selected mine count and safe-pick target.
How is the Mines multiplier calculated?
The fair multiplier is the inverse of the survival probability. If the chance of reaching a cashout point is 50%, the fair multiplier is 2.00x before RTP, rounding and platform-specific rules.
Can I calculate 2 mines or 3 mines setups?
Yes. Choose 2 mines, 3 mines or another mine count in the calculator. Lower mine counts usually produce higher survival probability and lower multipliers, while higher mine counts usually produce lower survival probability and higher multipliers.
Why can the calculator differ from a real casino payout table?
Real platforms may round multipliers, apply a specific RTP, use max-win caps or publish their own payout table. This calculator shows mathematical estimates, so small differences are normal.
Can this tool predict safe tiles?
No. A legitimate calculator cannot predict safe tiles — it can only calculate the probability of reaching a chosen number of safe picks. Why prediction tools fail is demonstrated interactively on the Mines Predictor & Hacks page.
What is RTP in Mines?
RTP is the theoretical long-term return of the game. A 99% RTP setting means the mathematical return is 99 units for every 100 units wagered over a very large sample, before individual session variance.
