Configurable RTP: one game, different prices
Most Mines versions we track have a fixed return — Stake at 99%, Spribe at 97%, Roobet at 96%. Hacksaw's Dare2win line works differently: the studio ships several return configurations, and each casino chooses which one to run. Official materials say "up to 98%"; operator info panels commonly show 94%.
What the spread costs
Expected value per bet is RTP − 1. At 98%, every $100 wagered costs $2 in the long run; at 94% it costs $6 — three times more for the identical game. On a single cashout the gap is visible too: a 3-mine, 5-pick target on the 5x5 board pays 1.98x at the top configuration and 1.90x at the bottom one.

Dare2win Mines offers 3x3, 5x5, 7x7 and 9x9 boards, with up to 80 mines on the largest one. The pricing rule is the same on every grid — fair probability times the configured RTP. Small board, sharp curve
On 3x3, three mines occupy a third of the board — three safe picks is a full clear and pays over 4x. The tiny grid is the most volatile format in the game.
Large board, flat curve
The same three mines on 9x9 barely register: three safe picks pay about 1.1x. To recreate 5x5-style volatility on the big board you need proportionally more mines — the slider goes up to 80.
Modelling non-5x5 boards
The calculator on this page models the 25-tile board. For 9, 49 or 81 tiles, apply the general formula above with your casino's RTP factor — the table shows worked examples for every size.
The 10,000x cap: the real ceiling for deep runs
Payouts in this version are capped at 10,000 times the bet. On paper the multiplier table goes far higher — in practice the cap flattens every extreme configuration.
Where the table exceeds it
A 5x5 run at 20 mines and 5 picks prices at roughly 52,000x fair; 12 mines and 10 picks at over 11,000x. Both settle at 10,000x regardless of the configured RTP.
What stays uncapped
Standard targets are unaffected: the classic 24-mine single-pick clear pays about 24.5x at 98%, and the 9x9 board's 80-mine single pick about 79x — far below the ceiling.
How to check a setup
If the calculator shows an adjusted multiplier above 10,000x, the cap — not the RTP — defines that round's ceiling. Everything below it pays from the table as displayed.
Odds model: how mine count shapes risk
The odds here follow the same 25-tile probability model used by the general Mines calculator. Mine count and safe-pick target define the chance of reaching a cashout point.
Mine count sets the risk curve
A lower mine count gives each click a higher chance of being safe, but the multiplier grows more slowly. A higher mine count creates faster multiplier growth and higher volatility.
Safe picks compound risk
Each safe pick changes the remaining board. The calculator measures the cumulative chance of reaching the selected safe-pick target, not just the chance of the next tile.
Bust risk is the inverse view
If the survival chance is 40%, the bust risk before that target is 60%. The calculator keeps both numbers visible so the payout is not evaluated in isolation.
Assumptions used by this calculator
This page defaults to the 25-tile board with the conservative 94% configuration. The selector accepts any value in the 94–98% range — set it to your casino's published figure.
Fairness: certified RNG, not a seed panel
Unlike crypto-casino originals, Dare2win games do not expose a player-facing seed verifier. The mine count controls the risk curve. Fewer mines create a higher chance of surviving each click and slower multiplier growth.
Choose a cashout target
The safe-pick target is the number of safe tiles you want to reveal before cashing out. Each additional safe pick increases payout and lowers the chance of reaching that target.
Set the RTP before anything else
Read the figure from your casino's info panel and set the selector to it. Every payout and profit estimate on this page scales with that one number — at this game, RTP is a setting, not a constant.
Risk profiles by mine count
Low mine count
With fewer mines, the multiplier grows slowly because the selected path is easier to survive. Shallow targets on the 99% table produce modest payouts with frequent wins.
Medium mine count
A middle setup shows the trade-off clearly: each extra safe pick raises the payout while compounding the chance of ending the round on a mine.
High mine count
High mine counts create sharp multiplier jumps because the survival window is narrow. On larger boards the same effect needs proportionally more mines — the 9x9 slider goes to 80 for exactly that reason.
