What the 96% preset changes
RTP does not alter the probability of uncovering safe tiles. It changes the multiplier and conditional payout assigned to that probability.
Probability stays fixed
For 3 mines and 5 safe picks, survival remains 49.57% whether the pricing model is 100%, 99% or 96% RTP.
Cash-out price falls
The fair 2.0175x multiplier becomes 1.9368x at 96% RTP before any additional live rounding.
EV is −0.04 per unit
Under an unrounded 96% model, the theoretical expected value is −0.0400 for every unit wagered.

How to check a live Roobet-style table
Start with the mine count
The mine count controls the base risk. Fewer mines usually mean a higher chance of surviving each click and slower multiplier growth.
Choose a safe-pick target
The safe-pick target is the number of tiles you want to reveal before cashing out. Each extra safe pick increases possible payout and cumulative bust risk.
Match the current RTP
Start from 96%, then switch to the exact value shown in the current game information if it differs. The table will reprice every cash-out depth.
Where the 4% house edge appears
In every unrounded multiplier
Under a uniform 96% model, each fair multiplier is multiplied by 0.96 before platform-specific rounding.
In expected cost
The theoretical expected loss is 4 units per 100 wagered, compared with 1 unit under a 99% model.
Not in tile probability
Adding mines or choosing a deeper target changes volatility and survival, but it does not by itself change a uniform 96% pricing model.
Why this is not a predictor
It calculates probability, not tile positions
The calculator can show the chance of surviving a selected number of safe picks, but it cannot say which exact tile will be safe.
Verification is not prediction
Provably fair systems can help check completed rounds with seed data and the platform’s algorithm. That does not give a public calculator access to future mine layouts before the round is played.
Mine count changes volatility, not the pricing rule
Fewer mines
Individual clicks are more likely to be safe and multipliers grow more slowly. The 96% adjustment still applies to the fair price.
More mines
Survival falls faster and multipliers rise more quickly. The larger cash-out number compensates for lower probability; it is not an advantage.
Rounding can alter effective RTP
If the live game rounds multipliers downward, the effective return at a specific cash-out point can be slightly below the nominal 96% model.

How much more expensive is 96% RTP than 99%?
In theoretical terms, a 96% model loses 4 units per 100 wagered on average, while a 99% model loses 1 unit. The difference is 3 units of expected loss per 100 wagered.
How are the odds calculated?
The calculator uses the 25-tile Mines model. It compares the number of safe tiles, selected mines and chosen safe-pick target to estimate the chance of reaching cashout before hitting a mine.
Why is Roobet’s default estimate lower than 99% models?
A 96% RTP model has a 4% theoretical house edge. That is a larger edge than a 99% model, so the adjusted multiplier is lower than the same fair cashout point under a 99% setting.
Can this calculator predict safe tiles?
No. It cannot predict safe tiles, reveal mine positions, decode future rounds or bypass the game. It only calculates probability and payout estimates.
Why can live Roobet values differ from this calculator?
Live values can differ because the current RTP, rounding method, max-win limits or payout rules may not match the default model. Always compare the result with the live game information.
Does changing the mine count change the 4% edge?
